Strong Start to 2026 for Jbs
Jbs has made a bright start to the first quarter of 2026 with a series of contract wins.
Full Turnkey Sea Axe Scope in North Sea
The firm delivered a Sea Axe project in the Southern North Sea, marking a significant milestone as demand grows for the company’s patented Controlled Flow Excavation (CFE) technology.
The operation also marked the first time Jbs executed a full turnkey scope for Sea Axe, covering engineering, mobilisation, offshore deployment and project delivery.
The project supported sand wave correction and cable reburial works as part of a submarine optical cable repair scope. A team of 11 supported the scope, covering vessel survey activity, sea fastenings and offshore excavation operations.
TSS350 survey equipment was mounted directly to the Sea Axe for the first time, alongside the deployment of a dedicated survey engineer. Integrated with Tritech Gemini sonar, the configuration enables clear verification and proof of burial for the client, providing confidence across the full excavation and reburial scope.
South Korean Wind Farm Project
In addition, Jbs has secured a second contract on a wind farm project in South Korea, with a Sea Axe CFE system contracted to support excavation works.
Blast Containment for Defence
Jbs projects in the defence sector continue to develop. The firm is supporting the UK, Australian, Norwegian and Canadian navies with specialist blast containment solutions, alongside several fabrication scopes across UK operations.
Integrated Screw Conveyor Package in UAE
Earlier this year, Jbs also delivered a major ATEX-certified screw conveyor package supporting construction of an artificial island for an offshore field in the United Arab Emirates. Spanning over 70 metres, the integrated system includes drives, valves and controls, engineered for hazardous, high-demand infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.
Jo McIntosh, Sales and Marketing Director at Jbs: “Delivering a full turnkey scope on the Sea Axe project reflects how the business has evolved – not just in terms of technology, but in the way we support clients from planning through to offshore execution.
“Integrating survey capability directly onto Sea Axe is a real step forward and demonstrates the value of bringing excavation and verification together in a single, assured solution.
“In addition, we have secured further work across our fabrication, blast containment and screw conveyor divisions.”
