Jbs Sponsors Archie Foundation Awards, Celebrating 25 years of Support for Families

Jbs is proud to support The Archie Foundation as headline sponsor of its Archie Founders and Friends Awards (the AFFAs) - a new event celebrating 25 years of the charity’s remarkable work supporting babies, children and families across the North of Scotland.

The AFFAs will honour individuals, companies and community heroes who have shown exceptional kindness, generosity and commitment to Archie’s mission since its formation in 2000.

The gala dinner and awards ceremony takes place at Aberdeen’s Union Kirk on Friday, February 20 (2026), where winners will be announced in front of an audience of Archie supporters and guests.

Nominations are open now for anyone to put forward a colleague, company, friend or family member who has made a difference. Tickets for the awards are also on sale, at £75 per person.

Jbs Sales and Marketing Director, Jo McIntosh, said:

"Jbs is hugely proud to sponsor these awards and support the amazing work carried out by The Archie Foundation. So many individuals and organisations play their part in making the charity what it is, and the awards will honour their selfless work.

"Jbs is passionate about the role we play in our local community and these awards epitomise all that we stand for.”

The Archie Founders and Friends Awards will mark a major milestone for the charity, which was established to support the build of Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and enhance the care and facilities available to local families. Over the years, Archie’s reach has extended to Elgin, Inverness and Dundee, funding specialist roles, family accommodation and bereavement support services for children and parents.

Paula Cormack, Chief Executive of The Archie Foundation, said:

“From day one, Archie has been about making the difference for local children. None of this would have been possible without the incredible generosity of those who give their time, expertise and financial backing to ensure Archie can continue to provide vital support.

"We created the AFFAs to recognise those individuals who have been instrumental in Archie’s success from day one through to the present day.”

The Archie Foundation exists to transform experiences and outcomes in healthcare and bereavement for babies, children and families across North Scotland. Its vision is that all children in the region have equal access to world-class healthcare and bereavement support, delivered in a child-appropriate environment and manner.

Just £30 funds a one-to-one session with the Archie play leader for inpatients; £1,825 will pay for a room in the Family Centre at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for three months, allowing parents to stay free of charge; £5,000 funds Archie’s Child Bereavement Service book gifting to families; and £10,000 pays for Archie’s Neonatal Counselling Service for a year.
